Ice ice baby

Bienvenidos a la Republica Argentina! Another stamp in our passport and we’re good to go. We continue our road trip along ‘routa 40’ to El Calafate. This nice little – super touristy – town on the shore of Lago Argentina only exists because you can visit the Perito Moreno Glacier from there. We only stay here for two nights to see the gigantic mass of ice in the nearby national park Los Glaciares. A unique place, especially because this is one of the few glaciers that is still advancing!

At first you might think what on earth could be so special about a glacier? Well, we thought so too. Untill we saw this baby in real life. It’s actually super impressive, especially when some of the ice breaks off and falls into the lake. We’ll never forget the noise it makes!
