Mingalabar Inle Lake

Inle Lake is one of the natural beauties of Myanmar. For the first time in three weeks we’re able to settle ourselves in a cozy bungalow for a few days. We really want to take enough time to explore this huge lake, its villages and surroundings – especially after the tips we received from our fellow travelers in Tibet! Here are some pictures or our Inle Lake 4 B’s: Boat, Bike, Bungalow and Bad wine… really Bad wine…

A must is┬ádoing Inle Lake by bike for one day. Again (!!) during midday… Extremely hot, but definitely worth it. Besides the cycle activity there was also a lot of waving (hello biceps). All locals say Mingalabar!! as we come along.

On our last night we cycle to the winery near Nyaung Shwe. Even though we were already warned, we’d like to experience the Birmese wines ourselves. Let’s say the sunset has been the highlight of the evening, not the pinot noir nor sauvignon blanc…
